[BBLISA] canon vs ricoh (MFP for print+scan)

Shopping for a copier/scanner(and minimal/manual fax), i.e. an MFP
e.g. ricoh          MPC2000 - MPC3000    20ppm - 30ppm color ; priced
a bit below
     Canon          imagerunner c3380i (priced to beat c2880 these
daze) 33ppm vs 28ppm

environment: winXP (some vista, unix).
(I just want everyone..XP mostly...to easily print and scan).

Are any of you using their software,...any comments/advice? (or
vendor/service nitemares)
