Hi Sean,

If it's any consolation, I wasn't the original poster, but I've been
searching for cheap backup for my home network for quite some time now
without success. All I wanted to do was find somewhere to drop a really
minimal Linux box (like a tiny 486-class "ghetto" machine) for backup DNS
and MX and a few other trivial things for my own personal domains.

Even though this was not for business use, and even though the resources I
was looking for were negligible, probably $1/month's worth of combined
power and bandwidth in the absolute worst case scenario, I still couldn't
find anyone willing to let me do it for less than about $100.00/month.
(Heck, that's more than I'm paying for the high speed connection for my
network at home in the first place!)

Thanks to your post a few days ago though, I found a company on Paul's
list from which I was able to get a basic virtual Linux server (all I
really needed) for only $10/month, exactly what I was looking for. So I
didn't even need to provide that ghetto machine, and it comes with ton's
of bandwidth too, relatively speaking. I'm actually already up and
running with it as of today.

So your post did help out at least one person in a very tangible way.
Thanks a million for it!
