1.  LAN Server Specialist III

Job Description: Performs complex technical analysis of network servers,
communications, Storage Area Networks and other peripherals. Assists in the
evaluation of network services and Server technology for current and future
network development. Monitors and controls the performance and status of the
server resources. Provides highly skilled technical assistance in network
planning, server system engineering and architecture. Utilizes software and
hardware tools, identifies and diagnoses complex server system problems and
factors affecting performance. May function in a lead capacity and provide
guidance and direction for less experienced technical staff on long-term,
larger-scale projects. Develops technical standards and interface
applications; identifies and evaluates new products; provides resolution for
server problems. May recommend network security procedures and policies.
Will develop proposals as necessary. May interface with vendors to identify
and purchase hardware and software. 

 

Must have:

Active Directory

Windows 2000/2003

Microsoft Clustering

Microsoft SQL Server

SAN Technologies - HP EVA and Cisco MDS if possible

Server Security/Platform Hardening

 

2.  LAN Server Specialist III "Exchange Server"

Performs complex technical analysis of network servers, communications,
Storage Area Networks and other peripherals. Must have experience with
supporting Microsoft Exchange server clusters in a multi site organization.
Assists in the evaluation of network services and server technology for
current and future network development. Monitors and controls the
performance and status of the server resources. Provides highly skilled
technical assistance in network planning, server system engineering and
architecture. Utilizes software and hardware tools, identifies and diagnoses
complex server system problems and factors affecting performance. May
function in a lead capacity and provide guidance and direction for less
experienced technical staff on long-term, larger-scale projects. Develops
technical standards and interface applications; identifies and evaluates new
products; provides resolution for server problems. May recommend network
security procedures and policies. Will develop proposals as necessary. May
interface with vendors to identify and purchase hardware and software.

 

Must have:

Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 - 2000+ users, multi-site

Active Directory

Windows 2000/2003

Microsoft Clustering

Microsoft SQL Server

SAN Technologies - HP EVA and Cisco MDS if possible

Citrix Metaframe 

Virus Scan - Trend Micro

Insight Manager

Backup Technologies - HP Data Protector (Omniback)

Server Monitoring - Microsoft Operations Manager
