Putnam Investments is looking for a Senior Linux Engineer with experience
running Redhat Linux AS2.1, Redhat 7.2 and SUSE Linux (SLES) 8 in a 24x7
environment in our Andover location.

Ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently or as part of
a team.  Documentation skills are a must for documenting engineering and
project work for knowledge transfer within the group as well as for
Operational Support.  Project Management skills are also required to
support technology changes/improvements driven by the business.

Software experience required:
- Building servers with Kickstart and SIS
- Building custom boot images for Kickstart and SIS for standard hardware
configurations
- Working with custom drivers/modules
- Veritas Foundation Suite
- SSH, Sudo, Samba
- Linux Security

Server Hardware experience should include IBM xSeries and Egenera
BladeFrame.  Should have familiarity with SAN architecture utilizing EMC
DMX and IBM ESS.

Other skills required, but not necessary, are Veritas NetBackup, Autosys,
CA Unicenter, LDAP, and IBM Director.
