<div dir="auto"><p dir="ltr">What is the current alternative to LISA? Or are conferences just no longer really a thing? I've been out of the field for a decade, but have fond memories of meeting like-minded people at LISA, both new people and people I had previously only known from online collaboration. </p>
<p dir="ltr">To date myself: I was at the first automated sysadmin LISA subconference, back when a lot of people thought it wouldn't catch on. I think maybe 35 people. Cfengine vs Puppet vs Bcfg2 vs a lot of others that even then were niche. </p><p dir="ltr">If you want to walk down memory lane in that field you can look at historical versions of this.
