I've used these. Never had more than 4 at a time, but I've had them in production for several years, without any failures:

Alongside those, we've had other switches, including linksys and d-link, which *did* fail. So despite having never experienced a failure on the netgear ones, we decided it was in our best interest to keep a cold spare on hand. (You can stick it into the rack, with nothing connected to it, but if you do that, why bother powering it on? Just leave it in the rack, unplugged.) Even though they have a lifetime warranty, it takes some days to ship it out and get a replacement.

They also have stackable units, and units with 2-4 10GigE ports, that you could use for daisy chaining.
