The function that Seagate drives hang off of is the ATA security feature set.

Security Set Password - F1h
Security Unlock - F2h

If you BIOS can’t handle those, you are out of luck.   All the BIOSs I’ve looked at in the last 4-5 years support those two commands. 

Those are typically issued by the BIOS when you have/set a Boot Password or drive password.  But you will have to speak to your Motherboard vendor to figure out if it does.
