Maybe this is one where the "5 minute talks" thing would work?

I know what would interest me -

I'd love to know what other admins are thinking/doing for career development. Does your employer sponsor formal training for you? Do you get a certain amount of "do whatever you want" time at work? Do you just tinker with stuff outside of work to keep skills current? Do you maintain a social network of techies?

In essence...
How do you know what you want to learn next, and then how do you go about doing it? What's your career strategy?

Of course I know the answers to all these questions as they pertain to myself. But I'd like to know what other people think.
