GAIA Host Collective is a three year old worker-owned cooperative with
owners in Greenfield, MA and Austin, TX, as well as datacenter presence
in the Boston area and Southern New Hampshire.

We are committed to providing reliable internet hosting services, while
minimizing our environmental impact and maximizing our social benefit.

GAIA Host is high-skill in the realms of operating internet hosting
infrastructure and adept at providing friendly customer service and
communication.

We have fifteen servers across two datacenter spaces in Somerville, MA
and Bedford, NH.

Currently 2 worker-owners, seeking a third.

ABOUT THE POSITION
==================
Title: Worker-Owner

Location: You need to be within 2 hours travel of Boston, MA and
Manchester, NH. Work from your own home (high speed internet
connection required).

Start Date: Immediately

Work includes Unix system administration of web and email server
systems, customer service for both technical and non-technical
customers, sales, business planning, and other administrative projects.

Technical Requirements:
- Strong Customer Service/Technical Support skills
- Unix System Administration experience
- Open-Source technologies
- 24x7 Emergency Response duties are shared among all worker-owners

Technologies and Technical skills:
- You know how the Internet works
- System administration: FreeBSD, Debian, Apache, MySQL, Courier MTA
- Programming / Database: MySQL, PHP, Perl, Ruby, Unix shell scripting

The position will start as a part-time position of 10-15 hours per week
and build up to more hours as we continue to grow our profitability.

Compensation is an egalitarian distribution of company profit based on
contributed work hours.

* Provisional Member Period: 6 months to 1 year
