Folks, thanks to all for the feedback re: Nagios, OpenNMS, Cacti, etc. It's helpful to hear how others have gone through similar requirements/selection processes. At this point I've decided to stick with Nagios and work through some of the configuration issues as we add nodes to our network. Thanks again, JB
