Smartleaf, located in Kendall Square above the T stop, is looking for a
senior systems administrator to join the IT/Operations group. This is a
generalist position with shared responsibility for 24/7 operations. Hours
are somewhat flexible but this is not an all-telecommuting position.

Qualifications

You are driven, smart, and a great engineer. The specific areas of
expertise that will help you be successful are:

Years of system administration of Linux and other Unix-based platforms
Systems automation with any of the usual suspects
Oracle DBA experience
General network administration (firewalls, routing, load balancing, etc.)
Shell scripting, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.
Documentation writing
Comfort in both teaching and learning

The Work

Everything we do needs to maintain data integrity, produce accurate
results with minimal supervision, and scale simultaneously. This can be
a tall order, and requires both depth and breadth of technical expertise
across the team to come up with inventive solutions. In addition, with
a larger technical team, we would like to begin making more regular
contributions to the open-source community.

Our technology stack:
Debian, Oracle, Ruby, Rails, C++, Perl, git, svn.

How to Apply

Interested applicants should send their resume and a brief cover letter
to jobs at smartleaf.com -- no recruiters, please.
