If you'd like to take a crack at the type of scalability problems
Google, Facebook, Youtube, and Wikipedia are dealing with, you need to
be part of our Technology team. Our multiple social networking sites
combined serve over three million active users. Developing and
maintaining sites at that scale presents a completely new set of
exciting problems that we are working to solve.

Our team is composed of seasoned LAMP Engineers, UI/Usability Engineers,
QA Engineers, Database Architects & Administrators, Systems Engineers,
and veteran Managers. In the past year, our team has created the new
version of our flagship site from the ground up. Now, we have an
ambitious road map that will bring new and cutting edge Social
Networking functionality to our members. Specifically, we'll be working
on intuitive UI design, efficient Search Algorithms, Chat Rooms,
Domestic and International Billing Systems, Advertising Tools, Mobile
Development, Video hosting, Data warehousing & analysis, and several
other exciting projects.

We are committed to developing robust, cutting-edge web apps and we
believe everyday should be a learning experience for our employees.
While working on a given project, you will get to flex your muscles with
several different technology layers. As an engineer, you'll also have
complete freedom to setup your own work environment and use the tools
you prefer. Our workplace is a great mix of Windows, Linux, and Mac.
Access to the preferred software, hardware, books, and online resources
is something all engineers enjoy. A casual work environment, competitive
salary, and an industry-leading benefits package are all part of the
deal.

Some of the technologies we are currently using are PHP 5 (LAMP),
Symfony, Ruby, Mysql, Memcache, APC, and Smartfox. The best candidates
will have proven experience developing web applications utilizing these
technologies. OOP design/development on a high-volume,
high-availability, large-scale LAMP system, especially using a PHP MVC
Framework, will earn you extra points.

If you are up to the challenge and the idea of working on a highly
visible site turns you on, send us your resume. We'll make sure you
never have a boring day!
