We are looking for an experienced Java JSP Developer to perform software
design and coding for our newest social networking website DList.com.
The Java JSP Developer will work on the Software Development team, where
responsibilities include: day to day programming, collaboration with
leadership and project management in an Agile process to aid in the
definition of small projects, and regular interaction with the rest of
the Engineering Department. The Java JSP Developer must have prior
experience with the Agile software development lifecycle, from
requirements gathering through design, development, testing, deployment,
and subsequent release onto live production systems. The Java JSP
Developer will also work in partnership with Systems Engineers as needed
to support production updates and ongoing maintenance issues as
required. 

Responsibilities include... 

* Develop new features on an existing Java web application; 
* Implement Java Server Faces; 
* Author JUnit test scripts; 
* Responsible for coding assignments; 
* W3C HTML validation; 
* Investigate and resolve website bugs; 
* Ability and desire to learn PHP is required. 

Education and Experience Required... 

* BS or BA degree required; 
* At least 3 years Java/JSP application development experience; 
* Experience with version control system (Subversion, Git, CVS); 
* Experience with bug tracking software (Jira); 
* Experience with unit testing and code coverage (JUnit); 
* Experience with MySQL desired; 
* Experience working in a LAMP environment preferred; 
* Experience programming in PHP preferred. 

Skills Required... 

* Solid understanding and practical experience of software development
life cycles and release engineering functions; 
* At least 5 years experience with Java/JSP application in a web-based
environment; 
* Solid understanding of and experience with Agile software development
methodologies; 
* Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and
verbal), and interpersonal skills; 
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; 
* Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation; 
* Ability to work under pressure and in high stress situations with a
calm demeanor; 
* Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of
deployments; 
* Experience working on e-Commerce and/or social networking websites.
