Insulet Corporation

 

         Provide 2nd tier level and end user support with Windows XP operating systems, Microsoft technologies, and in-house applications. This position will also interact with external Insulet Corporation customers supporting Pathfinder product.

·         Provide support for the full range of Microsoft back-office applications, including Active Directory, Exchange, SMS, and SharePoint.

·         This position will also assist in support of our phone and voicemail systems. Tasks will include, but not limited to creating and managing phones, creating and managing voicemail accounts. 

·         Investigate and apply OS patches and service packs to servers and workstations.  

·         Diagnose and resolve difficult issues with hardware, software, communications, and operating systems. 

·         Assist users with connectivity and access problems and keep them informed as to the status of open problems.  

·         Escalate complex problems to the next level of support as needed. 

·         Input user problems into problem management software. 

·         Perform routine network operation center tasks: review operating logs, perform system imaging, create user accounts and archive data.

·         Other duties as assigned. 

 

Knowledge / Education

·         Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 

·         Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS Platforms (2003 and XP) and related technologies (e.g. Active Directory, Exchange, SMS, Sharepoint, Office 2003/2007).

·         Knowledge of network TCP/IP protocol (DNS, WINS, DHCP).

·         Knowledge of security technologies such as VPN and firewall. 


Job Experience


·         Minimum 3 years experience supporting hardware, software, and OS on server platforms.

Skills / Competencies

·         Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.

·         Excellent customer service and communication skills.

·         Strong organizational skills with emphasis on detail and follow-up.

·         Availability to provide off-hours support including weekends.


Physical Requirements


·         Must be able to lift and transfer monitors and desktop systems (~20 pounds).
