The Senior Cisco Network Engineer will be responsible for: 

  a.. Implementing, supporting, and maintaining 24x7 network services serving as one of the highest levels of escalation for network and security issues. 
  b.. Responsible for ongoing recommendations of network policies and standards.
  c.. Act as lead network architect responsible for capacity planning and configuration assessments for our routers, switches, network appliances, host, and other communication devices. 
  d.. Ability to manage multiple large scale projects in a fast paced environment and provide leadership to other members of the team. 
  e.. Be able to quickly turn business problems into technical solutions. 
  f.. Manage configurations and the deployment of equipment in compliance with established technology policies. 
  g.. Ability to recommend technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure. 
  h.. Troubleshooting and reporting of network performance issues. 
  i.. Responsible for maintaining system and network availability and monitoring of services. 
  j.. Participate in rotating "on-call" schedule with engineering team. 
  k.. Maintain the appropriate relationships with 3rd party vendors and evaluate vendor hardware, software, and communications products and to provide recommendations for purchases with our corporate objectives in mind.
 

Job Requirements:

  a.. 5+ years of experience in network engineering, must have the ability to lead others. 
  b.. Knowledge and experience designing and managing WAN environments with extensive experience with WAN protocols such as   MPLS, HDLC, PPP, Multi-Link PPP, T1, DS3, SONET(OC48 +)  and encrypted tunnels over public/private networks.
  c.. Possess a clear understanding of capacity planning in various scenarios. (Single/Redundant Circuits, Load Balancing, Aggregation, etc.)
  d.. Posses a solid understanding of the technologies and their relationship to the OSI Model.
  e..  Extensive knowledge of Network Monitoring and Management tools such as HP System Insight Manager (SIM), Cisco works, etc.
  f.. Experience designing and supporting large scale Enterprise WAN infrastructures using Cisco hardware, with emphasis related to the financial services industry is a plus.
  g.. Experience in designing, implementing and supporting networks and the various protocols based on Cisco VoIP Technology, Unity (Unified Messaging), Cisco Call Manager 4.x or higher.
  h.. Router skills focusing on dial-peer at gateway/gatekeeper operation/configuration
  i.. Familiarity with extension mobility
  j.. Experience implementing and supporting Quality of Service and muilti-casting in the Enterprise networks for delivering critical applications.
  k.. Advanced experience in designing and configuring all types of CISCO hardware and IOS.
  l.. Knowledge of additional network products from various manufacturers is a plus.
  m.. Extensive experience with interior and exterior routing protocols with advance knowledge of BGP.
  n.. Experience with various technologies used to deliver highly redundant networks on all layers of the OSI Model.
  o.. Experience with network security platforms and technologies such as MARS,PIX, IPS/IDS, IDSM2 and FWSM.
  p.. Skilled at documenting designs and policies associated with networks.
  q.. Strong network trouble-shooting skills
