This person must have 3+ years experience in the following areas: 

Network architecture operation, and maintenance with a proven working knowledge of: 

*        Hardware: SUN Sparc, DEC Alpha, IBM PC Compatible 
*        OS: Sun Solaris (Intel and Sparc), Red Hat Linux (32/64 bits), SuSE Linux (32/64 bits) maintenance and patching. 
*        Storage: EMC CX700, Netapps. 
*        Network Hardware: Cisco firewall, Cisco switches, Cisco content switches, F5 networks, 3com router, 3com switches, Citrix Netscaler, SA2000 
*        Virtualization technology: VMware Workstation, VMware ESX 3, VMware VI3, VMware Server, Usermode Linux (UML).  If they can get someone who has at least worked in an environment that contained it, great.  If not they can flex.  
*        *A working understanding of Windows NT is a plus. 

General Requirements: 

*        A proven understanding of system interoperability requirements on the LINUX platform. 
*        Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to easily work with users to diagnose network connectivity and functionality issues and suggest creative solutions. 
*        Detail oriented person with a "can do" attitude. 
*        An understanding of both client server and Internet based application architecture. 
*        Ability to perform OS level scripting for the purposes of data flow and system maintenance. 

The systems administrator will be a member of a 3 person technical team that maintains the networking and application infrastructure 

A successful applicant will have a proven history of network and application support working with a small to medium sized user community (50 - 150 users).
