International Conference on Utility and Cloud Computing 2014 (UCC), December
8-11<sup>th</sup>, in London, UK. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Verdana;">Call for Proposals<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Cloud Challenge is a competition where participants develop
solutions for real-world problems by utilizing virtualization technologies and
Cloud computing. The competitors have to submit their proposals outlining the
nature of the problem that might range from business, scientific to
socio-lifestyle applications, the methodology used to solve the problem and the
means of validation of the solution. Further the competitors have to outline
how characteristics of Cloud computing and virtualization can lead to business
value, or to improve existing processes, practices, tools and applications. The
steps that lead to the successful adoption of Cloud computing and
virtualization services have to be explained.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">From those proposals, finalists will be selected to present their
work at the conference, including a demonstration of the system or software.
The judges will award a first prize winner at the conference.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Competitive submissions will have clearly identified a significant
real-world problem that requires Cloud Computing and can benefit form the
utilization of Cloud infrastructures. Cloud infrastructures can be of any kind

give a technical talk, provide a demonstration of the system, and answer

At least one member from each selected team must register, present and demonstrate their project at UCC 2014.
